The Camera is Back!

We found the camera, and in order to celebrate I took some pictures of Andreas today. Enjoy!

Halloween 2010

Well, we had a tiny miracle today. Our camera has been lost for about a month and we thought for sure it had accidentally gotten thrown away or something. But after a few prayers and a lucky break, Saul was able to find it hiding in a crevice of the car! Hooray! So our Halloween pictures were not lost after all! One of our favorite moments was when Zoe would knock on the door, she would run inside people's houses, whether she knew the neighbor or not. It made for some interesting times. Is this what we have to look forward to next year?

We went over to Sam and Tiffany's to celebrate the day. Here is the beginning when the kids were somewhat calm.

And then things quickly got out of hand. There were a few pictures that made me wonder why the photographer didn't control these kids instead of capturing their crazy moments!
Saul was the only one to eat the caramel apple from the stick. It should also be noted that he was the only one with a bit of a stomachache afterward as well.

Here is Andreas starting to get into his costume. He was much more calm than any of the other times we put it on him.Looking at Sam & Tiff's fun decorations...

With the Zoe and Andreas together:

Everyone was so happy with their costumes!

Just about to head outWe had to get the stroller because after walking a while with this guy he gets pretty heavy. But he was so calm as we strolled him around -- I think it was because he was beyond tired. But it sure made things easier!
Here he is after having enough of the hat. We had to capture the hat hair.
Back at home but being very still

We decided this should be the plan for next year: Zoe and Andreas take turns pushing each other around the neighborhood.

I thought this picture turned out fun. The weird light makes it look like she was being visited by the pumpkin fairy.

Another Weird Spider Sighting

Today while Saul was watering the lawn he made another amazing wildlife discovery. In between our air conditioning units was a little neon green spider with neon orange spots on the back. We looked it up, and apparently it is an Orchard spider. It has a very weird shape with the abdomen being much larger than normal and at a weird angle. While looking it up online I found a delightful little clip from some nature show about one of these spiders that had a wasp larvae stuck to it that slowly sucked out its insides. I think I am scarred for life.

These pictures are from the web since our camera can't focus on such a tiny object, especially as it hangs in mid air.

Here is the attempt from our camera:

Andreas Turns 1 Year Old!

We can't believe it, but Andreas turned 1 year old on October 28. He had his first taste of sugar and his first taste of cake. He loved it and even when it was down to only specks left was trying to get them up with his finger. Uncle Sam and Aunt Tiffany came over with Zoe to join in the fun, and he even got some great little cars from Grandma and Grandpa Z.

Saul has trained him that whenever he says CUH CAW that Andreas will hold up the eagle. Oh it is so wrong.

We recently have been trying to buy bilingual books so that I can learn the Spanish along with Andreas. Here are the boys going over the Spanish basics:

Quite possibly one of my favorite pictures of all time...

I think he was crying in this picture because he realized he wouldn't be able to vote in the upcoming elections...
